Arizona Medical
Board /Arizona Board of Medicine
Arizona does require the SPEX for applicants who have not
passed a National Board Examination in the past 10 years. Unlike
the other SPEX States, Arizona does not place a time limit on
being Board Certified in relation to the SPEX. If you are Board
Certified by a ABMS Board then you do not have to take the SPEX
examination.

MedLicense.com typically has a 1.5 to 3 month licensing period for
Arizona. Once the files are deemed complete by the Arizona Medical
Board, the medical license is typically issued within 1 to 2 weeks. The
Arizona Medical Board is an easy board to deal with if problems exist
with the application. Malpractice Suits and Negative issues with the
Physicians background can extent the licensing process beyond the typical
licensing period.
