Additional Florida Osteopathic Medical Board Licensing Information:

The Florida Osteopathic Medical Board will not issue a license to an Osteopathic Physician unless the Physician has completed an 1 year AOA Rotating Internship. If the physician completed an ACGME Internship or Residency and did not take the recommended AOA Rotating Internship out of Medical School, then Florida will not issue the license. The only way around this is to file a waiver request with the Osteopathic Board and have the AOA Approve the PGY 1 year of your training.
